About the RoleOur client in Miami is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, experience managing high-volume data, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Month-End Close:
Oversee and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting. - General Ledger Management:
Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly classified and recorded. - Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet analysis, variance reporting, and reconciliations. - Intercompany Accounting:
Manage intercompany reconciliations and assist with consolidations across entities. - Audit Support:
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits. - Budgeting & Forecasting:
Partner with finance leadership to support budget development, forecasts, and performance tracking. - Process Improvement:
Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and data accuracy. - Compliance:
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP / IFRS standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with finance, operations, and other business teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods, or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience handling large data sets and complex reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
