The Senior Financial Analyst works with the Director of Finance to develop, produce and analyze periodic and ad hoc operational and financial reports. The role develops and benchmarks operational and financial performance, monitors trends and analyzes variances for management review, and assists in identifying and evaluating opportunities to improve departmental performance. It has a significant role in the administration and preparation of the department's or organization's budget.

• Develop and produce periodic and ad‑hoc management reports relative to division operations and financial performance.
• Develop benchmarks relative to division operations and financial performance.
• Trend operations and performance over time; analyze variances.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies and solutions to improve departmental performance.
• Assist management team leaders in developing, producing, and interpreting team‑specific management reports.
• Assist the division in maximizing financial system functionality; monitor the impact of system changes on division operations and financial performance.
• Coordinate implementation of reimbursement monitoring in conjunction with division management team.
• Report division operations and financial performance reports as requested.
• Conform to hospital standards of performance and conduct, including patient rights, to provide excellent patient care.
• Utilize hospital values as basis for decision‑making and to facilitate the division's mission.
• Follow established infection control and safety procedures.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required (employees hired prior to Oct 1 2023 are grandfathered).

• Valid license or certification required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
