Role:
Underwriter

We are seeking a Real Estate Underwriter to evaluate ground-up multifamily development opportunities. This role will focus on financial modeling, market research, and due diligence to assess project feasibility, investment returns, and risk.

+ Build and maintain financial models for multifamily development projects.

+ Analyze development budgets, financing assumptions, projected rental income, operating expenses, and cash flow.

+ Evaluate investment returns and perform sensitivity analyses to assess potential risks.

+ Research market conditions, rental comparables, occupancy trends, and competing developments.

+ Review due diligence materials, including project costs, construction schedules, permitting status, and impact fees.

+ Prepare underwriting summaries and investment recommendations for leadership.

+ Collaborate with development, construction, asset management, and leasing teams to validate assumptions.

+ Track project performance against underwriting projections and update financial models as needed.

Requirements

alifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.

+ Experience in real estate underwriting, financial modeling, or development analysis, preferably within multifamily development.

+ Strong Excel skills and the ability to build and analyze detailed financial models.

+ Understanding of development budgets, construction schedules, permitting, and due diligence.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.
