Operations Manager and Encompass SME

We are seeking an experienced Encompass & Loan Operations Manager to join a well-established banking organization.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in the Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS), combined with a strong understanding of lending operations, system optimization, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will serve as the Encompass subject matter expert, partnering with Lending, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to enhance system functionality, streamline workflows, and drive operational efficiencies.

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Encompass LOS, including system functionality, configuration, workflows, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee and optimize loan operations processes across origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and funding.
• Identify and implement system enhancements, automation opportunities, and operational improvements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support Encompass upgrades, testing, implementations, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, system controls, reporting, and documentation.
• Resolve complex operational and system-related issues while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to lending and operations teams on Encompass functionality and best practices.
• Lead projects focused on improving lending efficiency, system performance, and operational effectiveness.

• 5+ years of experience in banking, mortgage lending, or loan operations.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Encompass LOS; subject matter expertise is required.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end loan operations and lending workflows.
• Experience with Encompass administration, configuration, business rules, reporting, or system enhancements.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, system optimization, and project management.
• Understanding of banking regulations, lending compliance, and operational risk.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across business and technology teams.
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
