Director of Finance – FP&A & Fin Operations

Location: Miami, FL (Onsite)

Position Overview

We are partnering with a growing, privately held organization seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial planning, operational performance analysis, and strategic finance initiatives. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to enhance financial visibility, improve profitability, streamline processes, and support continued business growth.

The ideal candidate brings a strong FP&A foundation combined with hands-on experience driving operational improvements, implementing financial systems, and partnering with business leaders across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning to support strategic business objectives.
• Oversee financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance management, providing actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Partner with operational leaders to evaluate business performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability and margins.
• Develop and enhance financial and operational KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Support cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis, and initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
• Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and financial systems enhancements to improve accuracy and scalability.
• Partner with Accounting and other departments to strengthen financial controls, reporting consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Support financial integration and standardization initiatives across multiple business units.
• Lead and mentor finance team members while fostering collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or operational finance, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-location, or operationally complex business environment.
• Demonstrated success improving financial processes, reporting capabilities, and business performance.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills;
  Power BI or similar reporting tools preferred.
• Exposure to M&A integration, financial transformation environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with executive and operational leadership.
