Loan Set-Up Specialist II

JOB SUMMARY: Process a variety of functions related to the servicing of Commercial Real Estate/Corporate/ Small Business/ SBA/USDA loans which includes setting up new loans, renewals, modifications and maintenance.

• Responsible for ensuring that the Bank's internal and external customers receive an adequate level of service and assistance with their questions and or concerns. The nature of their service needs can vary considerably.
• Monitor the CCLRS queue for incoming assigned requests and complete them within the required SLA.
• Upon receipt of new loans, renewals, modifications and extension loan packages, reviews loan documents and data in accordance with the established policies and procedures and accurately sets up the loan information within the servicing system.
• Create and maintain Automatic Charge Controls/Auto Debit for new and renewed loans.
• Set up tracking items as required for all new loans, renewals, modifications and extensions.
• Set up tax contracts with the appropriate tax service provider.
• Monitor LOVE queues to ensure loans are reviewed/validated within SLA.
• Review loan files and various system data for completeness and accuracy and accurately complete the LOVE checklist.
• Perform daily workstation balancing and process the required offsetting entries via BTE or general ledger tickets.
• Monitor the Note Clearing general ledger account reconciliation and clear items timely.
• Reviews tracking item report daily/weekly for outstanding items (i.e. required loan maintenance, payment and interest rate changes etc).
• Perform system maintenance including but not limited to officer, branch and address changes, loan rating etc.
• Respond to customer requests and questions regarding technical, large or complex loan accounts. Analyzes and rectifies customer concerns using established procedures.
• Review accuracy of rate change letters prior to mailing to borrower.
• Review the daily index rate updates against the Secondary Market rate sheet and Core Banking index updates to ensure accuracy.
• Work with the QA department to research and rectify any findings.
• Trains, oversees and assists level I and II Loan Set-Up Specialists when needed. Be able to work independently with minimal required assistance from supervisor.
• Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
• Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
• Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

• Associate's Degree required Or
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience required

• 3-5 Years prior experience in a loan processing/servicing area or related environment required

• Candidates residing in locations within Bank United's footprint may be given preference.
