The City of North Miami Beach is seeking a Police Officer. The salary range is $65,647.92 - $ annually. The position is located in North Miami Beach, FL and is full-time.

Must be a current State of Florida Certified Police Officer

Physical demands include using hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk, sit, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Selection guidelines include:
Polygraph, medical exam, psychological testing, and background investigation. ADA guidelines require applicants with disabilities who desire special accommodation to notify the Human Resources Department at the time of application.

Requirements include:
United States Citizen over 19 years of age (proof required), High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalency, Pass Basic Motor Skills Test (BMST) for physical agility, Pass Polygraph examination, Pass psychological screening (Law), Pass an extensive medical evaluation and drug screening, Meet current State training requirements as necessary, Pass an extensive background investigation, Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, Ability to exercise discretion, Good moral character, no felony convictions, no incidents of violence, Military discharge must be honorable.

• Basic Law Enforcement Academy or Academy acceptance letter
• Physical Agility (completed within the last six months)

Applicants who meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include evaluation of education, training and experience; oral interview(s); background investigation; reference checks; medical evaluation; and controlled substance screening. Preference will be given to certain veterans, spouses of veterans, or unmarried widows/widowers of veteran. Proof of veterans' eligibility must be provided at time of application.
