Environmental Specialist II with the Florida Department of Health, Palm Beach County Health Department, conducting regulatory environmental health and safety inspections to ensure compliance with state and local laws. Responsible for food service inspections, foodborne illness investigations, sanitary nuisance complaints, facility licensing reviews, and enforcement actions across schools, assisted living facilities, migrant housing, and mobile home parks. Position requires independent judgment, data analysis, field sampling, and coordination with federal, state, and local agencies.
Key qualifications:- Knowledge of physical or natural sciences principles and analytical techniques
- Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze and interpret scientific or technical data
- Ability to conduct regulatory inspections and investigations independently
- Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, maps and technical documents
- Experience with data entry, database management, and field documentation
