Phlebotomist, Laboratory-Support, $5000 Bonus, Part Time, 4A-12:30P at Baptist Health

• Performs phlebotomy in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals and Baptist Health published protocols.
• Receives specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately and timely, labels, transports, centrifuges, and aliquots specimens.
• Distributes specimens to the appropriate testing section based on collection priority (STAT over Routine).
• Faxes and distributes results as appropriate.
• Maintains knowledge of and adheres to policies and procedures used within the department and throughout the hospital; addresses patient questions and concerns.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; some certifications or training may be required.
• Preferred:
  Phlebotomy or Registered Medical Assistant certificate; hospital experience including pediatric, geriatric, oncology, and neonate patients.
• Computer skills, specimen processing, excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written), and strong customer service abilities.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
