Job Description

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits or critical health-related testing.
• The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The role involves creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures to patients and performing blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• The PSR I will demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a strong focus on confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence and precision.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience required due to high patient volume.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
