Job Description

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who come in for routine health services or diagnostic testing.
  • The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and patient trust.
  • The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and adherence to established safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times.
  • Collect both forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure all specimens are correctly labeled in the patient’s presence.
  • Maintain required records, documentation, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and trust throughout the collection process.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and dress code requirements.
  • Travel to multiple sites as assigned, maintaining punctuality and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors, demonstrating superior customer focus.
  • Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information at all times.
Requirements / Must Have
  • Ability to perform error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations (floater role) as required.
  • Basic understanding of Spanish to communicate effectively with patients in this area.
Experience
  • Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Customer‑focused mindset and commitment to quality service.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer operations.
Qualification And Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
