Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Miami, Florida, United States, 33186
Duration: 4 months
Shift timings: M-F 5:00am-2:00pm; rotational Saturdays 6:30am-10:30am
Description:- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and health decisions.
- The PSR I draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established practices and procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Performs daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor, maintaining a safe, professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Minimum 12 months of experience required.
- Two years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Reliable transportation is required;
Uber and public transport are not considered reliable. - At least 1 year of blood draw experience required.
- Participation in mandatory classroom training at our Miramar lab is required; dates TBD.
- Training includes traveling to nearby Patient Service Centers and classroom instruction.
- Must handle a high volume of draws, potentially 30-40 per day.
