Salary – $54.37 – Base Rate

Department – Central Sterile Processing (Health Sciences)

Reports To – Department Chairperson, Health Sciences

FLSA Status – Exempt – Not Eligible for Overtime Compensation

First Review Date – December 17, 2024

• Provides instruction in Central Sterile Processing Technician courses
• Evaluates and advises students
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Associate’s degree in a Health Care related field or Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program at a regionally accredited institution and Valid Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM);
  
  and Three (3) years of full‑time work experience as a Central Service Technician in a sterile processing department.
• All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off‑campus offering sites
• Must possess basic computer skills
