Clinical Simulation Specialist
In the Simulation Hospital at Miami Dade College, Medical Campus, you will support faculty and students during simulation and debriefing, manage simulation readiness, train students on medical equipment, create and modify patient simulation scenarios, and maintain safety standards and technology updates.
Responsibilities- Run pre/post simulation scenarios, moulage set-ups & equipment breakdown.
- Support faculty and students during simulation and debriefing.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and simulation readiness.
- Train students on medical equipment (ventilators, IV pumps, feeding pumps, etc.).
- Create & modify evidence-based patient simulation scenarios.
- Support Nursing Program simulations (up to 50% of clinical time).
- Maintain safety standards, technology updates & simulation research initiatives.
- Master’s degree in a healthcare field and 1 year experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field and 3 years experience.
- Current certification/licensure as: RN, EMS/Paramedic, Radiology Tech, PA, or CHSE.
- Strong clinical and medical equipment knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot simulators & technology.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to adapt scenarios on demand.
