Billing Manager – Armada Recovery
Location : North Miami Beach, FL (On-Site)

Reports to : Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Position SummaryArmada Recovery is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Manager to lead the daily operations of our billing department. This role oversees a team responsible for charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, and denial management across multiple facilities (PHP / IOP, and detox). The Billing Manager ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all billing functions, while supporting leadership with timely reporting and staff development.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise billing staff, assign workloads, and monitor productivity.
- Ensure billing processes are standardized across all Armada facilities.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for claim issues or payment discrepancies.
- Billing & Revenue Cycle Management
- Oversee daily charge entry and electronic claim submission.
- Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce aging.
- Direct payment posting and reconciliation of ERA / EOBs.
- Manage denial prevention and coordinate appeal responses with staff.
- Ensure billing activities comply with Medicaid, commercial payer, and state / federal regulations.
- Conduct routine claim audits to identify errors or process improvements.
- Partner with the Authorization / UR team to prevent avoidable denials.
- Provide weekly and monthly AR and collections reports to the Director of RCM.
- Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and finance teams to resolve billing issues.
- Track payer performance and trends, escalating systemic problems.
- Train new billing staff on policies, software, and compliance standards.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and teamwork.
- 3–5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid and commercial payer requirements (behavioral health preferred).
- Proficiency with billing / RCM software, clearinghouses, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or multi-site healthcare organization.
- Familiarity with Kipu EMR or similar behavioral health billing platforms.
- Knowledge of revenue cycle KPIs and best practices in AR management.
