Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

Group Underwriter, Sr is responsible for determining acceptability of insurance risks and appropriate premium rates for small, complex renewal and prospect employer groups in accordance with Corporate Underwriting Guidelines and Authority Limits.
How You Will Make An Impact- Determine and provide guidance to medical underwriters concerning the risk selection of applicants applying for commercial health coverage.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy and consistency of overall account reporting.
- Propose rates for prospective business utilizing a combination of other carrier experience, demographic data and manual rates.
- Perform post-sale reviews.
- Work with product and sales partners to survey existing product portfolios by market, monitor sales results, trends and needs, recommend product portfolio changes.
Requires a BA/BS in a related field;
Minimum 4 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- CPCU, CLU, LOMA, HIAA, PAHM or other insurance related courses preferred
- Level Funded medical underwriting experience strongly preferred.
- Small group experience preferred.
