Senior Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist
JOB SUMMARY: Proactively engage with applicants and hiring teams throughout the recruiting life cycle to find the best talent for the organization. Drive talent acquisition strategies that align with business needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Partner with hiring managers to build effective recruiting strategies and manage customer/partner expectations.
- Provide recommendations to hiring managers based on market data and position requirements, serving as a trusted talent partner.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners such as Human Resources Information Systems, Talent Management, Compensation and Total Rewards.
- Post job openings on the applicant tracking system and all other media resources including online employment job boards and social media.
- Screen and source active and passive candidates in person, by phone or virtually, including conducting behavioral‑based interviews from entry level to high level positions.
- Ensure an excellent candidate experience through prompt follow‑up and communication with candidates throughout the life cycle from initial contact to start date.
- Arrange interviews between hiring managers and candidates, including coordinating travel for out‑of‑state candidates.
- Work with the compensation team to develop salary job offers, then extend and negotiate offers to selected candidates.
- Participate in training and mentoring of new talent acquisition team members and support continuous development of Talent Acquisition Specialists.
- Administer background check and new hire paperwork, including employment verification, education verification, reference checks and pre‑employment drug tests.
- Represent NCLH as an employer of choice at career fairs, university events and networking functions.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Human Resources, Business Administration or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years recruiting in a medium to large organization, successfully executing manager level and above searches. Must include using an applicant tracking system such as People Soft and conducting behavioral‑based interviews. Preferred experience working in both an external recruiting agency and a corporate human resources department.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated knowledge of using an applicant tracking system such as People Soft.
- Good knowledge across Human Resources disciplines and applicable Federal, State, and local employment laws.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to provide professional and timely customer service to internal and external customers.
- Strong and efficient workload management skills, including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and following through on a variety of tasks.
- Good judgment and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to maintain professional composure while working under stress and pressure.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of data.
- Ability to work in a professional manner within a team environment.
