Job Summary:

Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Payroll and Human Resource Assistant to join our team in Miami, Florida. As a key member of our human resources department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, benefits, and other HR‑related tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process payroll, including calculating wages, bonuses, and deductions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records, including personnel files, benefits, and leave information
  • Conduct new hire orientations, provide employee onboarding, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment, benefit renewals, and employee communications
  • Develop and maintain reports and spreadsheets to track HR metrics, attendance, and other key performance indicators
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, managers, and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and human resources required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software applications (e.g., Workday, Bamboo

    HR)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
