Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust and scalable data warehouse architectures to support business goals, reporting, and analytics needs.
- Administer and tune database systems (SQL Server, Azure SQL, or other platforms) to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Integrate disparate data sources (Business Central, Salesforce, ADP, etc.) into a centralized warehouse using ETL/ELT best practices.
- Develop ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar platforms.
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and security protocols across all systems.
- Support business users and data analysts with optimized queries, views, and datasets for reporting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues and implement proactive optimizations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in database administration and data warehouse development.
- Proven track record of delivering performance-optimized data warehouses at scale.
- Strong SQL expertise with experience in query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and replication.
- Proficient with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Snowflake).
- Understanding of data modeling principles (star/snowflake schema).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
