Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with our customers to design, build, and deploy high-impact technical solutions using our AI and software platforms. As an FDE, you will operate on the “front lines” of customer environments—solving complex problems, customizing applications, integrating systems, and ensuring successful adoption of our technology.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, want to work directly with users, and enjoy combining software engineering, product thinking, data expertise, and real-world problem solving.

• Partner directly with customer teams to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and operational needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs and actionable engineering solutions.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customer engineering and operations teams.

• Architect, build, and deploy custom solutions using our platform, SDKs, APIs, and AI/ML capabilities.
• Design and implement data pipelines, integrations, automations, workflows, or agentic systems tailored to customer environments.
• Develop applications or features that extend our core product to meet customer-specific use cases.

• Deploy software in customer environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid, or sensitive environments).
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and ensure reliable performance.
• Own end-to-end solution delivery—from design through deployment, testing, documentation, and training.

• Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams based on real-world use cases.
• Influence product roadmap by identifying recurring customer patterns and opportunities.
• Collaborate internally on reusable components, best practices, and solution templates.

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, ML engineering, full-stack development, or similar roles.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and Dev Ops fundamentals.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, data pipelines, or workflow automation (experience in all areas not required).
• Ability to architect solutions and integrate multiple systems in varied environments.

• Skilled at rapidly understanding unfamiliar systems, datasets, and customer workflows.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to solve unstructured problems with incomplete information.
• Comfortable owning projects end-to-end with high autonomy.

• Comfortable being customer-facing at both technical and business levels.
• Ability to translate user needs into actionable engineering work.
• Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience deploying software in high-security or regulated environments.
• Previous work in consulting, integration engineering, or solution delivery roles.
• Exposure to LLMOps, agentic AI frameworks, or enterprise AI deployments.
• Familiarity with data governance, MLOps, or enterprise-grade analytics.
