Senior Geospatial Research Manager
Location:
Miami, FL, 33101 CLEARANCE: TS/SCI About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Geospatial Research Manager to lead our geospatial research initiatives in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geospatial analysis, research management, and team leadership, with a passion for leveraging spatial data to drive innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage geospatial research projects from conception through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
* Develop and implement research strategies that utilize geospatial data and technologies to address complex problems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, GIS analysts, and external partners to integrate geospatial insights into broader organizational goals.
* Oversee data collection, processing, and analysis using GIS software and other geospatial tools.
* Mentor and guide junior researchers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
* Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in geospatial research and recommend adoption where appropriate.
* Prepare and present research findings to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in geospatial research or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
* Proficiency with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in spatial data analysis, remote sensing, and geostatistics.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
