The Royal Caribbean Group’s Data Governance team has an exciting career opportunity for a full – time Data Governance Lead reporting to the Senior Data Governance Manager.

This position will work on-site in Miramar, Florida and commute between Miramar and Miami office locations as required .

The Data Governance Lead is responsible for leading RCG’s enterprise data catalog initiatives to establish and maintain a cohesive and effective data cataloging system, integral to the company’s broader data governance strategy and objectives. This role is pivotal to improving the availability, searchability and quality of data by ensuring efficient utilization across the organization. Additionally, this role is directly involved with the planning, development, curation, and implementation of the enterprise data catalog for enterprise project initiatives, resulting in increased adoption and usage.

• Lead and administer the enterprise data catalog program by deploying best practices to architect, curate and manage these core components: business glossary, technical metadata, and lineage.
• Oversee the operations of the enterprise data catalog and communicate with stakeholders to ensure access and availability of the solution.
• Provide daily support of the data catalog including user administration, tool upgrades and maintenance, and change management.
• Maintain metadata across disparate sources and ETL processes.
• Establish processes and document procedures to curate data assets.
• Provide enterprise training on the enterprise data catalog capabilities.
• Facilitate and collaborate with stakeholders to define enterprise business terms and metrics. Develop and publish these metrics to support metadata completeness.
• Configure and maintain templates for managing business and metrics glossary, data dictionary.
• Establish relationships between business and technical assets in the enterprise data catalog.
• Partner with technology resources to enhance the data catalog capabilities and provide visibility across the delta lake (Databricks Unity Catalog) and BI (Power BI) reporting applications.
• Prioritize data sources for ingestion and schema as tables and drive identification, ownership, and onboarding of priority datasets.
• Ensure development work follows the established change management and communication processes.
• Adhere to an Agile iterative approach by identifying features and user stories and orchestrating team ownership to deliver a Minimal Viable Product (MVP).

• Qualified candidates require a working knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence concepts as it relates to Data Governance & Master Data Management, including :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science /Information Systems , , or related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in application design and implementation .
• Experience in Data Governance concepts including m aster and m etadata management.
• 4 years of experience in data related field.
• 2 years of experience in Metadata Tools, specifically Collibra Data Intelligence and Informatica CD CG:
• Experience designing and maintaining business glossary, data lineage, data relationships, and data stewardship.
• Experience inventorying or cataloging data assets
• Experience designing data solutions to include taxonomies, technical and business metadata, data classification and sensitivity.
• Experience integrating metadata between platforms.
• Experience implementing workflows and APIs in Collibra Data Intelligence and Informatica CDC
• Experience with applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with ETL/ELT design and implementations .
• Experience with the AWS cloud platform and other tools including Databricks, Power BI are desirable.
