Network Engineer

Description Kforce's client in Miami, FL is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain critical network infrastructure in a fast-paced operational environment. This individual will serve as a key member of the IT team, providing hands-on network engineering support while working independently and collaborating across multiple business functions. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable operating autonomously, takes ownership of issues from start to finish, and thrives in an environment where teamwork, communication, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, implement, monitor, and support enterprise network infrastructure
* Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity
* Maintain and optimize LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments
* Support network performance, reliability, and security initiatives
* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams to resolve technical challenges
* Participate in network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and new technology deployments
* Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
* Provide proactive recommendations for network improvements and efficiencies
* Support incident response and problem resolution efforts as needed
* Take ownership of issues through completion, regardless of scope or complexityRequirements
* 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
* Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies
* Experience supporting enterprise network environments
* Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
* Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN technologies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

* Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
* Experience with Cisco networking technologies
* Experience supporting mission-critical operations environments
* Exposure to network security technologies and best practices
* Experience with wireless networking solutions
