* ** Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* + Designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and processing systems.
+ Developing and optimizing automated ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load enterprise data sources.
+ Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, data scientists, and analysts to define data interoperability standards.
+ Conducting performance tuning, data validation, and troubleshooting across complex database environments.
+ Maintaining data baselines, configuration management controls, and comprehensive technical documentation.
+ Recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance system reliability, data quality, and scalability.

* Minimum Qualifications:
*
* + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
+ OR a master's degree and 1+ or more years of relevant experience
+ OR an associate's degree and 5+ or more years of relevant experience
+ OR a high school diploma and 7+ or more years of relevant experience
+ Proven experience building and managing scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and relational databases. Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
+ Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, database engineering, and automated workflow orchestration tools. Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and data architectures.

* Preferred Qualifications:
*
* + Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer.
+ Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise data environments.
+ Familiarity with real-time streaming architectures, data governance frameworks, and containerization technologies.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary technical teams to drive data platform improvements.
** Clearance Requirements:*
* + Must hold a current/active secret security clearance.

* Physical Requirements:
*
* + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
+ Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
