Athletics AV Tech

Description The Athletics AV Technician is an IT role responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and securing complex technology systems across multiple IT disciplines within the Athletics department. This position acts as a technical lead, provides guidance to junior staff, leads projects, and works independently on complex assignments while supporting strategic IT initiatives. This technician will need experience in networking, Audio Visual support and an understanding of broadcast support.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in networking, audiovisual (AV) systems, and broadcast/production support within a collegiate athletics, sports venue, or live-event environment. This individual will serve as the primary technology resource for FIU Athletics, supporting game-day operations, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining critical venue technologies, and ensuring seamless delivery of live athletic events.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) plus 4+ years of IT Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
