About the Firm
A leading law firm headquartered in the vibrant city of Miami that blends a rich tradition of legal expertise with a modern, client-centric approach, is actively seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney specialized in Personal Injury Defense, particularly within the federal court system, including the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Responsibilities- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury defense matters in federal court, focusing on cases within the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
- Develop and execute effective litigation strategies, overseeing case analysis, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research on federal laws, regulations, and precedents to support case strategies.
- Interpret statutes and legal opinions to advise clients accurately and promptly.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case developments and strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information and evidence for cases.
- Represent clients in federal court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
- Prepare and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
- Engage in settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes ethically.
- Work effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure seamless legal service delivery.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Florida State Bar membership and admission to practice in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
- 2-5 years of legal practice with a focus on litigation.
- 1-2 years of federal court experience, preferably in personal injury defense.
- Proven success in managing federal cases, including trials and hearings.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
