Associate Attorney - General Liability

Position Overview

Lydecker is seeking an associate attorney with 4+ years of experience for a hybrid position in our Miami office. The candidate must be admitted to practice in FL. Under the supervision of a partner, the associate will handle a variety of cases, including defense of premises liability, personal injury, and general liability.

• Florida bar license in good standing.
• Minimum of JD from an ABA‑approved law school.
• Minimum 4 years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in general liability, bodily injury, premises liability, products liability, or construction defect litigation.
• Experience managing up to 15+ cases simultaneously, defending depositions, presenting in court, drafting motions and discovery; mediation and trial experience a plus.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Self‑motivated, independent, strong client communication skills.
• Clear, persuasive oral communication and attentive listening.
• Clear, well‑edited written communication.
• Ability to work with little supervision, prioritize work, and handle pressure and short deadlines.
• Maintain client and firm confidentiality; understand and implement ethical responsibilities.

• Billable work and maintain accurate timekeeping.
• Draft, review, and respond to petitions/complaints, motions, and written discovery.
• Attend hearings, depositions, meetings with clients.
• Assist with preparation for mediations and trials.

• One‑on‑one mentorship and training by partners.
