Job OverviewThe Miami, Florida office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its expanding Medical Malpractice practice group. This is a unique opportunity to work with and learn from highly experienced HBS Med Mal litigators by actively participating in case development, trial strategy, and trying cases.
Responsibilities- Actively participate in case development, trial strategy, and trial execution.
- Collaborate with experienced litigation colleagues to manage case progression.
- Prepare and submit legal documents, journal arguments, and other trial materials.
- Represent clients in pre-trial, discovery, and trial phases.
- 1–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience, preferably in Medical Malpractice.
- Substantial personal trial advocacy experience; highly experienced trial advocates in other complex litigation areas may be considered.
- Active membership in good standing in the Florida Bar.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
