  • Monitors departures, connections and shipment milestones and proactively resolves delays, documentation discrepancies and routing exceptions.
Import Operations
  • Tracks inbound shipments and proactively provides updates on ETAs, clearance status, delivery milestones and exceptions.
  • Coordinates with customs brokers and destination agents to clear customs on time.
  • Confirms required import documentation, permits, licenses and approvals are in place before shipment, whenever applicable.
Shipping Documentation
  • Checks, prepares and verifies commercial invoices and packing lists for accuracy, consistency and compliance.
  • Prepares and verifies air waybills (MAWB, HAWB, AWB), certificates of origin, and compliance requirements for electronic equipment containing or packed with lithium batteries.
  • Prepares and submits Letter of Credit (LC) documents according to instructions provided by the agent or Importer of Record (IOR).
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies between shipping documents before cargo moves.
  • Maintains complete and accurate shipment records in accordance with company procedures and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Importer / Exporter of Record (IOR/EOR) & Compliance
  • Serves as the liaison for obtaining import permits, licenses, homologations and product certifications.
  • Verifies duties, taxes and fees quoted by agents or Importers of Record (IORs) for accuracy and reconciles them against client billing.
  • Coordinates IOR/EOR requirements with customers, overseas partners, customs brokers and regulatory authorities.
  • Reviews and validates HS classifications, declared values, country of origin and destination-specific import requirements prior to shipment.
  • Supports restricted-party screening, end-use/end-user documentation and other applicable trade compliance requirements.
  • Identifies potential compliance issues and escalates regulatory or documentation concerns before cargo is released for movement.
Partner Management
  • Serves as the main point of contact for customers and agents throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with air carriers, overseas agents, IOR/EOR providers and freight forwarding partners.
  • Escalates and resolves operational issues across time zones to keep door-to-door service levels on track.
  • Evaluates and negotiates partner rates and ensures clients are billed at the correct rates with the appropriate profit margin.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in international freight forwarding or logistics operations, preferably with air freight experience on APAC and EMEA lanes.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under time-sensitive cut-offs across multiple time zones
  • Proven experience working directly with customers, air carriers, overseas agents, Importer/Exporter of Record providers and freight forwarders.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms, HS classification, customs valuation, duties and local taxes.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, procedures, client SOPs and operational processes.
  • Ability to independently manage shipments, make operational decisions and resolve day-to-day logistics issues.
  • Strong sense of urgency, follow-through and accountability for shipment outcomes.
  • Experience shipping electronic equipment containing lithium batteries by air is a plus.
  • Import and export experience and familiarity with APAC and EMEA regulatory and certification bodies are a strong plus
