The OpportunityAs we enter our next phase of national expansion, we are seeking a strategic, metrics-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy, optimize performance, and help build a world-class organization. This executive will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to bring financial discipline, clarity, and foresight to drive our growth to over $100M in annual revenue.
Key responsibilities include:
1. KPI-Driven Financial Leadership- Develop and execute a data-driven financial strategy that measures and drives profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
- Build and own firmwide key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue, expenses, case value, and return on investment.
- Create clear financial dashboards and reporting systems that give leadership full visibility into performance across departments.
- Use analytics to guide decision-making and ensure every business unit is accountable to measurable results.
- Design and implement a long-term financial roadmap aligned with The Ward Law Group’s growth trajectory and mission.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting a multi-entity, high-growth enterprise.
- Build a culture of financial discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across departments.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on scale, capital structure, and sustainable growth priorities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
- Strengthen systems for cash management, billing, accounting, and reporting to support rapid expansion.
- Implement internal controls and audit practices to mitigate risk and safeguard firm assets.
- Ensure the firm’s financial infrastructure and processes are scalable, automated, and audit-ready.
- Identify, evaluate, and structure acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with WLG’s growth strategy.
- Oversee financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance to ensure successful expansion.
- Build models to assess new market entries, partnerships, and capital projects, providing clear ROI and risk analysis.
- Oversee the firm’s real‑estate and asset portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with growth and operational needs.
- Negotiate acquisitions, leases, and financing structures to optimize return on investment and cash flow.
- Manage facilities financials, ensuring cost efficiency, sustainability, and long‑term value creation.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role overseeing a finance team of 10+ in an organization of 250+ employees.
- Proven track record in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) with strong KPI design and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated success building and leading scalable financial teams and systems in high‑growth environments.
- Strong command of data analytics and business intelligence tools to inform strategic decision‑making.
- Experience with M&A and real‑estate portfolio management a plus.
- CPA and / or MBA strongly preferred.
