At our Company, we grow People, Brands, and Businesses! We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Retail Training to be responsible for training and development directly supporting a client. The Manager will provide training targeted at field associates and assess the training needs of the team through surveys, interviews, focus groups, observation or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives. The successful candidate will present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.

The Manager will also evaluate training materials prepared by specialists such as outlines, text, and handouts. This role requires a considerable amount of travel.

This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the retailer and clients. The focus is on delivering measurable results within the organization that leads to outstanding program execution for our clients. Results will be attained through effective execution against business performance goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze retail team training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs in partnership with retail client and the Company.
  • Develop project timelines, manage them, and develop learning solutions using contemporary e-learning software (Articulate Storyline, MS PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Determine cost‑effective training approaches to meet geographical challenges of providing learning programs in a variety of locations.
  • Conduct evaluations and analyze metrics for programs and provide reports on project metrics.
  • Provide regular project updates to retail business leaders and Talent Development.
  • Ensure projects stay within timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Develop testing and evaluation procedures in partnership with Talent Development.
  • Lead team meetings.
  • Manage risks and adjust timeline for successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Coach and develop direct reports.
  • Travel 2 out of 4 weeks to provide in‑person training/support out in retail, attend client deep‑dive meetings or participate in management‑level meetings with internal team members.
  • Write learning objectives to describe desired outcomes and ensure learning materials support those objectives. Work directly with technical subject matter experts to capture course‑specific knowledge.
  • Design and develop blended learning training programs including instructor‑led, technical systems and computer‑based training delivery methods.
  • Design and implement leadership development tools to support managers in their role and contribute to their personal and professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/Development, Organizational Development, Instructional Technology or equivalent combination of education and related experience (required); MBA or equivalent (preferred).
  • 3+ years of Program/Project Management experience (required).
  • 5+ years of Learning/HR experience (preferred) with working knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design for e‑Learning, instructor‑led training, and blended learning.
  • Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people;
    Coaching experience preferred.
  • Client interaction experience, either internal or external, preferred.
  • Strong skill with Articulate Storyline (required); working familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills; conflict management skills.
