Facility Maintenance Supervisor – Miami, FL
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee operations and maintenance in Miami, FL
. This is a long-term, performance-based contract focused on delivering seamless facility operations.
Why this role matters: You will lead a team of technicians, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain critical building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Your expertise will keep this mission-critical facility running smoothly every day.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians, providing coaching and performance oversight.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders, preventive maintenance programs, and emergency repairs.
- Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, pumps, boilers, electrical systems, fire alarms, and building automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate with contractors and manage subcontracted services.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency situations.
- Education/
Experience:- Two-year technical degree or five years as an Operations & Maintenance Supervisor (apprenticeship completion accepted).
- Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or business (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
- Familiarity with BMS systems and OSHA codes.
- Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification (preferred).
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems; experience with Procore or Smartsheet is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and hold a valid driver’s license.
- Spanish language skills (preferred).
- Pay Rate: $40.02 per hour
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
