Director of Advancement Operations

Since 1800, when St. Madeleine Sophie Barat founded the Society of the Sacred Heart in France, Religious of the Society of the Sacred Heart and lay Sacred Heart educators have carried out her imperative of educational excellence. Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Advancement Operations serves as the operational leader of the Advancement Office, ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment of all advancement functions, including fundraising operations, annual giving, campaign administration, constituent engagement, stewardship, volunteer management, events, and advancement services.

• Five to seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in advancement operations, nonprofit management, fundraising administration, events, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success leading teams, managing staff, and executing complex, multi-faceted projects.
• Strong expertise in advancement services, gift administration, donor databases, reporting, and CRM management.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and operational planning.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling confidential donor and institutional information.
• Familiarity with Sacred Heart education and the culture of Catholic, independent schools preferred.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred.
• Experience with in an independent school, higher education institution, or mission-driven nonprofit organization preferred.
• Experience supporting capital campaigns, comprehensive campaigns and major gift efforts, or significant fundraising initiatives preferred.
