Position: Welder I (TIG) - 2nd shift

As a Welder, you'll operate metal fabrication equipment such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), and resistance welding.

What you'll do:
  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate brazing and soldering equipment
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
  • Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements
Position Requirements :
  • At least 6-12 months of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and basic welding process specifications under supervision
  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on exposure to basic tool fabrication methods and standard shop processes, including measuring, cutting, and fitting parts to specification
  • 3-6 months of experience using production tracking or inventory control systems to log work orders, time, and materials accurately
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted)
Preferred Characteristics:
  • Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, reworks process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals and MSDS labels
  • Completion of a welding apprenticeship program; or equivalent
  • Attainment of trade certification
  • Attainment of applicable welding ticket(s)
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think outside the box when solving problems
