Job Description

Take charge of our day-to-day operations, so we remain the trusted source for aviation repair and maintenance. Work with your team to implement the right processes and practices across our organization to help ensure flight and product efficiency.

What You’ll Do
  • Machine products to tight tolerances.
  • Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operations.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
  • Adjust and set up machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
  • Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
  • Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
  • Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy.
  • Observe all applicable safety practices.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous or current knowledge and experience with manual machine tools operations.
  • Experience operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Preferred Characteristics
  • VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience preferred.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
