Sr. Recruiter | IT | Finance | Healthcare | Executive/Interim | Corporate | GovernmentThink is seeking an Interim Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing that will oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production and strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
- Create and implement detailed material requirement forecasts, incorporating input from sales, inventory, and procurement teams.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement departments to ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and other critical supplies.
- Identify material planning risks and propose proactive solutions to mitigate delays and overstocking.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust forecasts and material plans to align with changes in demand or operational constraints.
- Drive improvements in operational efficiency, throughput, and overall plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements specific to the vitamin and supplement industry.
- Oversee training and performance of plant personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on production progress, inventory status, and material needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an Interim capacity as a Plant Manager or senior operations leader in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in material planning, forecasting, and supply chain coordination.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- Ability to quickly assess and improve existing systems and processes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transitional, or turnaround environment.
