Apparel Supervisor

Summary

The Apparel Supervisor Level I supervises and coordinates the activities of sewing machine operators assembling articles. This position carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

$18.00/hr - $18.00/hr (Based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter.)

• Ensures that daily production quotas are met.
• Ensures that quality products are produced.
• Completes documentation and reports as outlined in the quality assurance plan, including attendance, payroll, and production reports.
• Reports production and mechanical issues to the Supervisor.
• Attends training meetings as assigned.
• Meets the 3‑hour per year requirement of training/staff development.
• Utilizes a teamwork approach for all projects.
• Supports ISO‑9000 and Quality Management Systems requirements.
• Promotes vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer service to all customers and stakeholders.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Assists with training people with or without disabilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Directly supervises workers/participants in the Apparel Department.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
