Position Summary:
The Lead, Design Integrator is responsible for executing and managing the design process in collaboration with various disciplines such as Architectural Design, Naval Architecture, and Technical Design for the Newbuilding team. This role supports the Design Project leader by overseeing planning, tracking, status reporting, and ensuring alignment with project goals. The position involves maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitating collaboration across departments and external partners.
The Lead, Design Integration, also facilitates decision-making on time, cost, scope, and quality to ensure the project remains on schedule and within quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of design planning, tracking, and reporting, collaborating with stakeholders to analyze data and recommend actions.Foster effective collaboration and act as a translator between different design disciplines to facilitate seamless integration.Promote innovation with a focus on schedule, cost, and risk management throughout the design phases.Maintain detailed project schedules, establish timelines and milestones, and support corrective actions as needed.Ensure the accuracy and validity of data on dashboards and reports, proactively maintaining information.Support the project team in managing scope, expectations, and overall project focus.Review goals regularly and adapt workflows to improve integration within design processes.Analyze schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies, providing updates to stakeholders on critical risks and impacts.Track budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial alignment, maintaining transparency and justification for costs.Adhere to project processes and recommend improvements.Engage with stakeholders to report on project status, progress, and insights, facilitating informed decision-making.Communicate project plan status regularly to stakeholders and team members.Study operational needs and performance to identify areas for improvement and efficiency, acting as a liaison across teams and partners.Stay current with industry trends, especially in project management techniques relevant to project objectives.Perform other duties as required, including any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. - Experience:
At least 5 years of experience, including 2 years managing multi-million-dollar projects and leading high-performing teams. - Software Proficiency:
Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. Familiarity with AutoCAD and financial software systems such as AMOS, Clarity, Lotus Notes, JDE, and Essbase. Willingness to travel as needed to ships, shipyards, and vendor facilities in Europe, Asia, and North America.
