DIE CUTTER TRAINEE

Manufacturing of steel rule cutting dies produced to specific CAD designs using various types of manual and automated equipment. Assembly of components relevant to the cutting die product lines.

• Ability to use various types of manual and automated equipment to manipulate materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD files to accurately assemble custom tools.
• Lifting and handling of wood, metal pieces and tooling.
• Clean & maintain department equipment.
• Required to understand and use safety equipment reflective of department.
• Cross‑training and support of other production departments.
• Able to organize assigned tasks for completion alone or with help.
• Inform supervisor of problems or issues that affect the company’s ability to meet customer requirements.
• CAD file manipulation.
• Department Quality Control.

• Able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment.
• Lifting and handling of wood, metal pieces and tooling.
• Able to perform repetitive motions and must have strong finger dexterity.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read die prints.
• Basic metal working background.
