Packaging Operator

Location: Kendall, Florida

Industry: Pharmaceutical

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm (four, ten-hour days); OT available on Friday and Saturday

Salary: $16.50/hr

Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs

Environment: Our client is a dynamic specialty pharmaceutical company engaged in research, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of prescription pharmaceutical products, specializing in advanced transdermal drug delivery technologies.

Overview

Responsible for manufacturing and packaging activities, operating and maintaining small production equipment, weighing and measuring raw materials, and ensuring batches contain proper ingredients. Maintain records and cleanliness in compliance with cGMP, SOP, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Process products in strict compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment.
  • Participate in manufacturing, packaging, punching, and pouching activities.
  • Clean equipment and manufacturing areas per policies and regulations.
  • Set up equipment for various operations and inspections.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehousing tasks.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or technical training.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or 1-3 years in a related industry with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and basic computer skills.

Judgment / Decision Making: Routine tasks within established practices with some minor decision-making required.

Work Environment: Production setting with exposure to airborne particles, moving parts, and odors. Carelessness could lead to minor injuries.
