Badia Spices – Doral, FL
Shift Schedule (Weekend Shift):
- Friday: 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM
- Saturday: 2:00 PM – 4:30 AM
- Sunday: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Badia Spices is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our production team on our dedicated Weekend Shift. This role is essential in ensuring our processing and packaging equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of production machinery and equipment used in our spice manufacturing and packaging operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical technician with hands-on expertise in production line machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on high‑speed production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and take corrective action to restore equipment to optimal performance.
- Adjust, rebuild, and maintain the following equipment types (experience strongly preferred):
- Unscramble rs
- Fillers
- Cappers
- Labelers
- Handlers
- Ovens & Dividers
- Conveyors
- Accumulation Tables
- Case Erectors & Case Sealers
- Cartoners
- Packing Machines
- Support production teams to minimize downtime and ensure safe equipment operation.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to supervisors and incoming shifts.
- Follow safety protocols, GMP standards, and company policies at all times.
- 3+ years of experience as a mechanical or industrial maintenance technician.
- Strong background working with production line machinery in food/beverage, packaging, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Experience using standard hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently on a fast‑paced weekend schedule.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
