Job Description Role Summary
The Head of Lifecycle Marketing will lead the strategy and execution of full-funnel marketing programs designed to drive customer acquisition, convert retail users into subscribers, and build long-term loyalty. This role oversees campaign management, CRM, and media activation across digital and offline channels to optimize the customer journey. This leader will work closely with cross-functional partners in Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to deliver measurable growth in membership and maximize lifetime value in a rapidly expanding multi-unit car retail business.
Key Responsibilities- Design and own the lifecycle marketing strategy, including acquisition, conversion, retention, and win-back campaigns.
- Lead campaign planning and execution across full-funnel media, CRM, and direct channels (email, SMS, app push, direct mail, etc.).
- Optimize conversion of retail / one-time users into subscription members through targeted programs, promotions, and nurture campaigns.
- Manage and expand loyalty initiatives to deepen member engagement and extend customer tenure.
- Oversee segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies in partnership with analytics and digital product teams.
- Partner with external agencies and vendors to ensure best-in-class execution across paid media and lifecycle campaigns.
- Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Strategy teams to evaluate ROI, LTV, and promotional effectiveness.
- Develop dashboards and reporting to monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in lifecycle and subscription marketing.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of lifecycle marketing specialists.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years focused on lifecycle, CRM, or subscription marketing.
- Proven track record driving customer acquisition, conversion, and retention in subscription or membership businesses.
- Hands‑on experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and digital media channels.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret campaign performance data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
- Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline).
- Experience in multi‑unit retail, automotive services, or consumer subscription industries.
- Familiarity with martech ecosystems (CDP, CRM, loyalty platforms, referral engines).
- Experience working in high‑growth, private‑equity‑backed environments.
- Strategic thinker with execution focus.
- Strong leadership and people development skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management ability.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, campaign management tools, and marketing analytics.
- Team‑oriented mindset with ability to influence across departments.
- Adaptability to a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and extensive computer use.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- This position requires approximately 10–20% travel.
- Travel may include regional and national trips for site visits, vendor meetings, or leadership presentations.
- Occasional evening or weekend travel may be required.
