Job Description & How to Apply Below

Congresswoman Carrie Meek built her career on turning policy into real opportunity for Miami-Dade's most underserved communities. The Carrie Meek Foundation carries that work forward through direct investment in Education, Housing, Health, and Economic Development — and through the relationships that make those programs work on the ground. As the Foundation's program footprint grows, it needs someone who can keep that work running with precision: coordinating logistics, maintaining strong community partnerships, and building a volunteer base that extends the Foundation's reach across South Florida.

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable managing the details of a program calendar as they are building trust with a community partner or a Board member. Working closely with Foundation leadership, this role strengthens the connective tissue between programs, the communities they serve, and the governance that supports them.

Purpose:

Leads program execution, community outreach, volunteer engagement, and program communications. Strengthens organizational capacity by managing program logistics, building community relationships, and supporting governance and leadership operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate program delivery, including planning, logistics, quality assurance, and post-event evaluation
  • Develop and refine program project management, SOPs, and implementation guides to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Monitor program performance, track KPIs, and prepare monthly reports for leadership and the board
  • Identify opportunities to expand or enhance program offerings, informed by community needs and organizational priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, partners, and stakeholders to expand program reach on behalf of the Foundation
  • Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, communications, and recognition efforts
  • Ensure timely follow-up, clear communication, and strong engagement with program participants and grantees
  • Coordinate board materials, logistics, communications, and governance support activities
  • Oversee internship program, providing mentorship and task management
  • Maintain program materials, supplies, and systems
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit program coordination, community engagement, or administrative leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, timelines, and multiple priorities
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Comfort with community-facing work, outreach, and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to supervise volunteers, interns, or junior staff (preferred)
Salary and Benefits
  • Benefits:
    Health insurance stipend provided
