Certified nursing Assistant, Hematology​/Oncology

Up to $2,500 Sign on Bonus

Work Shift: 3 × 12‑hour shifts (days, nights, weekends may be required)

Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics – Nursing, 11 North Hematology / Oncology UTower

• Provide personal hygiene support (bedpans, urinals, baths, shaves, showers, etc.)
• Assist with meals, ambulation, turning, positioning, and provide fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preparations, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic and sitz baths, and apply restraints
• Perform sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post‑mortem care
• Answer patients’ call lights and requests promptly
• Maintain a safe and attractive environment for patients and staff, transporting patients and equipment as needed
• Report patient conditions to the assigned nurse for professional assessment
• Measure and record food and liquid intake and output, and check and record vital signs
• Assist patients with walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed
• Adhere to University and unit‑level policies, procedures, and safeguard University assets

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Certification and Licensing: Certified Nursing Assistant license

Experience: Minimum 0 – 1 year of relevant experience

• Skill in completing assignments accurately with attention to detail
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
