Position: PEDIATRIC NURSE

Professional member of the home health team who provides skilled nursing visits in patients' homes under the direction of a plan of treatment established with a physician and input from the patient/caregiver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assess a child's needs and provide initial care.

Identify changes in pediatric signs and symptoms and intervene in emergency situations.

Participate in pain management for pediatric patients.

Record patients' medical history, symptoms, and vital signs.

Advise patients and their parents on medication instructions and at-home care.

Provide high-quality pediatric patient care, being careful and attentive.

Address the anxieties and demands of parents, and help families deal with their child's illness or injury.

Stay up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures.

Administer medication as prescribed by a physician.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in home care for 2 years with at least one year of supervisory experience.

Possess emotional and mental strength, dedication, and self-motivation.
Show empathy and the ability to relate to children.
