Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Federal Correctional Facility

Nurse Practitioner (NPs) and/or Physician Assistant (PAs) to provide comprehensive healthcare services at the Federal Detention Center in Miami, Florida. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule in a federal healthcare setting, providing primary and preventive medical care to an adult patient population.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical histories.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical studies.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within applicable practice authority.
• Provide preventive healthcare, patient education, and chronic disease management.
• Perform minor medical procedures, including suturing, splinting, and wound care.
• Conduct daily sick call and manage scheduled clinical encounters.

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant educational program.
• Current, valid Florida license to practice as an NP or PA, with appropriate certification.
• Ability to perform primary care, urgent care, and minor clinical procedures within the provider's authorized scope of practice.
• Ability to pass federal background investigations, fingerprinting, and required security screening.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Prior correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
