Piper Companies is seeking a Chemist II to join a leading distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals and consumer health goods company located in Miami, Florida
. The Chemist II will perform testing to support quality control activities in a regulated laboratory environment.
- Prepare samples, test solutions, and compounds for laboratory personnel
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Operates laboratory equipment, such as analytical balances, pH meters, HPLC, GC, UV, IR, Dissolution equipment, Disintegration apparatus, etc.
- Evaluate and analyze data obtained from chemical testing to create proper records in accordance to cGMP/GDP and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct deviation and Out of Specification (OOS) investigations, report findings and initiate CAPA's
- 3-5 years of manufacturing quality control experience
- Strong analytical chemistry skills and have hands on HPLC experience
- Experience with conducting deviations and OOS investigations
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological discipline
- Salary Range: $65,000-$75,0000
