Opportunity Overview

Informatics and Health Data Science department at the University of Miami offers a full‑time Research Associate 1 position on the UHealth campus. The role supports Dr. Chung by providing high‑quality research assistance, including literature reviews, reference management, project coordination, and manuscript preparation, enabling first‑author publications and grant success.

• Interpret research protocols and procedures.
• Assist in publishing significant results.
• Maintain an overview of relevant research findings.
• Ensure compliance with good research practices.
• Stay current with publications on methods, techniques, and developments in the field.
• Collect, prepare, analyze, dissect, and evaluate specimens or tissue cultures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform routine assays, tests, and studies.
• Calculate and analyze lab results, collect data, and perform statistical analysis.
• Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and safeguard assets.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Prior research or administrative experience preferred.
• Familiarity with academic publishing and reference management tools strongly desirable.
