The post‑doc will work with the P.I., Dr. Lorraine Bahrick, and her lab team, to coordinate and participate in two NIH‑funded research projects. One is a multisite project assessing individual differences in attention and intersensory processing and relations with social and language outcomes across 13 labs.

The other is a longitudinal study evaluating attention and intersensory processing as predictors of language, social, and school readiness outcomes from 3 months through 6 years of age. The post‑doc will have ample opportunity to explore both databases, participate in and generate collaborative research projects, develop an independent research program, and receive training in manuscript writing and grantsmanship.

  • Basic programming skills; familiarity with MATLAB, SPSS, R, and/or Mplus;
  • Familiarity with eye‑tracking platforms; advanced statistical skills;
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills; supervisory experience;
  • Familiarity with early social, cognitive, and language assessments, and habituation procedures is helpful.

Compensation: Salary is competitive and includes benefits.

How to Apply: Qualified candidates should submit a vita, statement of research interests, fit with position, and names of potential referees. Send materials to Dr. Lorraine E. Bahrick (bahrick). Applications and required materials should be received by January 15 2023. The position will remain open until filled.
