Development Scientist II

Overview

The Development Scientist assists in evaluating and implementing new technologies, performing experiments as defined and planned by supervisor, reviewing test results for experimental error, and supporting post‑launch resolution of performance and quality issues for protein/serology immunoassay chemistries.

• Plan and execute experiments as defined by the supervisor.
• Review test results for experimental error and determine if repeats are required.
• Participate in planning studies for development, optimization, and failure investigations of protein assay(s).
• Maintain well‑organized laboratory notebooks in compliance with relevant procedures.
• Support post‑launch (MRB) activities to resolve performance and/or quality issues.
• Write and execute protocols.
• Operate and understand the functioning of instruments.
• Perform statistical data analysis.
• Prepare and write reports.
• Conduct failure investigations.
• Present results to multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain instruments.

• B.S. degree with at least 2 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience working with automated instruments and/or immunoassays preferred.
• Good laboratory technique with analytical expertise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a rapidly changing task environment.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
